Get Involved

Seattle Frontrunners relies on volunteers to help manage the routine operations of the organization, alongside the Board of Directors. The following opportunities are ways for YOU to get involved!

Lead a pace group at the Wednesday run/walk!

We strive to ensure that all runners know each route, don’t get lost, and aren’t left behind. Therefore, on Wednesdays, we want to offer pace groups ranging from 7 minutes to 11 minutes per mile. To be a pacer, you simply have to learn the route beforehand (available on the Wednesday Run/Walk page) and wear a device to the run to track your pace.

You can sign up by inputting your name on the Pacers for Wednesday Run/Walk, either for this week or for upcoming weeks. The sign-ups are shared weekly in the Facebook Members group, along with the route.

Host a potluck!

We need spaces to hold our monthly potlucks, especially during the cooler months. If you have a home or community room that can accommodate about 75 SFR members, please choose the link below. SFR provides all the eating tableware; you only provide the space.

Assist with Run & Walk with Pride!

If you’d like to volunteer, check out the RWWP volunteer page for more information.

Join a committee!

The Board of Directors can create and disband subcommittees as needed. Current subcommittees include DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), Events, Infrastructure, Communications, and Membership Experience.

We invite SFR members to join the Board’s subcommittees. Capacities and opportunities fluctuate throughout the year, so please inquire by choosing the link below.

Attend a Board Meeting!

If you’re curious about what takes place at monthly meetings of the Board of Directors, club members are welcome to attend and participate; however, only Board Members can vote.

You can find upcoming Board meeting dates and information in Heylo.

You can also read through previous meeting minutes.
